WHY ARE WE SO EXCITED??

Because our Super Sweet  Heart, child prodgidy Anastasia Rizikov, is returning to help Classical Pianists of the Future  celebrate its Fifth Anniversary Season.

Those of you who heard her perform in 2008, at 9 years of age, heard recitals on two consecutive days, featuring on day one an all Chopin repertoire, followed by the works of Bach, Haydn, Moszkowski, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev on day two.

She returned in December of 2009, under the auspices of CPOTF to the Phelps Mansion Museum to delight the audience with the works of Bach, Liszt, Gershwin and Bryl, and, under the baton of Maestro John Covelli, her first ensemble performance of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor, Op. 21.

Now, at the advanced age of 12 years, she returns again, by popular demand, to perform her most advanced program yet, in a performance of Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A Major, {"Trout"}. Joining Anastasia  will be members of the novo4tet and Steven Stalker on double base. The first half of the program features Anastasia playing Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in A minor No.20 (WTC, Book 1), Debussy’s L’lsle Joyeuse, Kapustin’s Variations, Op. 41 and Beethoven’s 32 Variations in C minor WoO 80.

Why are we announcing this performance this early? We want you to reserve the date now. The concert will take place on September 17 at 7:30 p.m. at  the First Presbyterian church, 42 Chenango Street, Binghamton, New York, 13901.

In a few weeks, you will receive a mailing giving you the opportunity to subscribe to our Fifth Anniversary Season, including additional details on Anastasia’s very special program. Visit our website classicalpianistsofthefuture.org and click on "Upcoming Recitals" for additional information.

Very truly yours,

Al, Gary and Lance
